World travelers currently living in Greece, Danielle and Devin chose TRUST in the City of Brotherly Love for their July 9th destination wedding. A self-proclaimed urbanite, the bride loved the venue¹s downtown location in Old City and its monochromatic (white-on-white) palette and elegant details.

Wedding boutique La Petite Fleur (LPF), located just outside Philadelphia, worked with Danielle via Skype and e-mail to create a look for the big day that integrated the couple’s desire for an untraditional, yet romantic, atmosphere. With the summer’s heat and the locale’s cool, white marble interior in mind, LPF’s Leigh Karsch and Ronald Giletti proposed a crisp lime and yellow color palette that would be accented by contemporary blooms and classic, sophisticated accessories.

Orchids, tropical foliage and pearls played leading roles in the event for their sleek, innate beauty. From the bouquets and centerpieces, which dripped with pearls, to the napkin rings and chargers, pearl opulence was scattered throughout. Danielle even took inspiration from the décor for the bridesmaids’ gift— a multi-strand pearl necklace (which finished-off their oyster-colored dresses).

Ambiance was courtesy of LPF’s trusted colleagues at Synergetic Sound and Lighting, whose artful draping enhanced the venue’s entryway, defined the ceremony space and added dimension to the lounge and dining areas.

Soft yellow up-lighting had the entire celebration aglow, while perfectly positioned pin-spotting illuminated the custom bear grass table runner with gently arching orchids, which adorned the head table, and the couture dinner table centerpieces perched upon monstera leaf chargers.

Flowers and baubles weren’t the only design elements that defined Danielle and Devin’s, special day. An ampersand, symbolizing their love of simply “being together,” appeared throughout the custom stationery suite designed by LPF, which included programs, place cards and seating chart.

Although there were several untraditional “touches” that pulled in Danielle and Devin’s desire for something romantic, yet a little different, the wishing tree in lieu of a guest book took the cake! The unique guest sign-in tree, created with curly willow branches and hand-sewn orchid blossom garlands, beckoned people to scribe “sage sentiments” upon beribboned, hand-cut paper leaves, which were then hung from the tree and later gathered for a keepsake album.

When it was time to party, LPF transformed the staircase into a mirrored bar, with a runner of orchids and sparkling candle light. Cocktail tables were draped with festive striped linens and adorned with floating orchid and pearl arrangements.
